Panda

               

Panda is the official name of a Google algorithm update developed to reduce the
prevalence of low-quality, thin content in the search results, and to reward unique, compelling content. At the time Panda launched, user complaints about the increasing influence of “content farms” were growing rampant. Google Panda is a major change to Google's search results ranking algorithm that was first released in 24th February 2011.

Google launched the penguin update in 24th April 2012 to better catch sites deemed to be spamming its search results, in particular those doing so by buying links or obtaining them through link networks designed primarily to boost Google rankings. When a new Penguin Update is released, sites that have taken action to remove bad links
